BAHATI'S EMPIRE

Ooh my, isn’t Bahati’s Empire the worst thing to invade our black screens?
I mean, aside from the obvious reality that Reality TV makes one stupid, this one is so painfully pathetic it’ll literally give you a headache.
To start with, the scripting is soooo bad. As much drama maketh a show, forcefully thrusting fake drama on situations don’t cut it.
Diana and Bahati are such bad storytellers. Your love story should be so clearly told that anyone who hears it starts believing in the power of love or…and, asks for a tissue.
What would have made it a good show isn’t the forcing of fake drama, irritant classless new money flamboyance, weird English accents, the cursing, parading of everyday celebrities, BUT
A more intimate and realistic look into their life…cos’ it’s a good story with lots of angles – love, motherhood, cohabitation, marriage, blended families, grief, domestic/parental abuse, age differences, secular/gospel world, music business, lifestyle, politics, the rags to riches story, and the everyday kind of life.
I felt that the show was trying far too hard to impress…and that never does justice to anyone, or anything. If anything, it portrays the so called Bahati’s Empire as nothing more than a marriage cohabitation that’s loosely being kept together by money.
Overall, Very good storyline, extremely distasteful execution, I'd say.
