family BLACK SHEEP

You heard it before, how for every market place there is a mad man?

It’s the same thing with families – each has its black sheep.

No matter how well off, prominent or morally upright the family is, there’ll always be that one bad seed:  Usually, he’ll be an alcoholic, or one who can never hold down a job, or can’t get and keep a wife, or one who keeps getting pregnant and dropping off the kids at their grandparents before disappearing for another 9 months.

Ever wondered though, if these black sheep really know that they own the crown?  Or, just like myself, assume that theirs is a different kind of family that doesn’t adhere to the norm?

I thought so of my family, still do.  As much as we all got some shitty stuff going, we don’t have one who’s a constant headache.  My parents must be really proud.

But, there’s definitely a But…I have a sibling who is constantly trying to make me come out as one, which is as annoying as f**k.

This sister of mine will call me up at mid morning, afternoon or evening and you know what’s the first thing she asks?

‘Did I wake you up?’

I got tired of asking her to repeat herself, not because I didn’t hear her right but rather so she can re-analyze her stupidity – she never does.  So now, I no longer pick her calls.  If it’s that important, let me hear it from someone else!

I asked to borrow some money - more of lend than borrow, it was meant for an emergency business deal.  Of course she didn’t come through, but, later that day she calls to hook me up with a job, as a night nanny, for a friend of hers.

She has tried hooking me up with a bunch of weird guys, like the Muslim guy who was looking for a second wife – she claims she didn’t know but who doesn’t know that their male colleague is married?  Next was some guy who I was to learn had 3 baby mammas all of whom had left for his being physically abusive.  Recently was some divorcee father of two teens whose wife died under suspicious circumstances.

Now, she is planning on opening a boutique and guess whom she think she can hire as a shop assistant?  Yours truly.

Here’s a few things I should probably have let out earlier.  I’m well educated, have a good degree, working on my masters, run a successful business, have made some good investments, pay all my bills and live a happy, peaceful and comfortable life…yet, there’s someone out there who wants to gaslight and bestow unto me the crown of being the family's black sheep.

I’m sure you know of such people right?

Should I cut her off?
